Press the on button and you get just a brief red flash. Sometimes I could unplug the battery cable, plug back in - repeat a few times and it would work. This got worse over time, especially following its weekly WASH!?
But now its NO GO!
So I did some searching and everyone was suggesting a new Battery to Motor cable/harness (1) is required. These are £99 currently ( https://www.pearcecycles.co.uk/home...s/levo-custom-wiring-harness-levokenevo-gen2/ ) and I did not want to just replace it without checking whether I could repair it (hate waste).
So I removed the cable and cut off the plastic over-covering insulation on 1 and started to look for wear; there was some but nothing major. I checked all the wires and connections for connectivity using a multimeter. All good, even when the wires were jiggled around. So the issue had to be elsewhere???
Carefully checking the other connectors underneath 1 I could just see (my eye sight it not was it used to be) some rubbing on the wires of the other connectors which come down from the TCU. Checking with the multimeter confirmed the orange would be shorting out as the insulation had worn through :-(
Attached is a photo of the area - if you zoom in you will see four wires are worn: orange, green, black and red. The movement from 1 causes wear on those wires (poor design). You should replace or repair these. I have added insulation to those wires and siliconed them in place, it should not give any issues again. Hope it helps others
