Journey in canbus land

Hi All.

I just bought my first ebike : Giant Trance E+ 1 pro 2019 and I'am new to this forum.
As this bike use a Yamaha PW-X (Aka Giant syncdrive pro), I started to try to decode the CanBus frames.

Have you thought of using a CANBUS GUI tool to monitor frames and listen to the bus?
Seems easier.

I am sure you already know but just in case...
Canbus is a network protocol. Not like a serial connection. Each smartdevice can be queried on the bus kinda like object Oriented Programming. The device must sit on the bus waiting for requests. So it is nothing as simple as a serial protocol where data is just sent off to be captured at the other end.
