How water proof is the electrics on these bikes ie: hosing down etc.

Don't use a jet wash or direct hose on the motor area but otherwise should be good. I've had no problems with two bikes...

Just be sensible i normally use a bucket of water and gentle hose
And never wash a bike upside down as there designed to get wet the right way up for drainage etc

unless you absolutely have to never use a hose except to wash the rims and tyres if they are caked
