jam2 speed magnet

Hi All should my speed magnet be glued to the plate on the discs or should it move around the plate only being held on because its a magnet?

It should be fastened to the backing plate. Get some epoxy resin (araldite) clean off both surfaces and glue the magnet onto the backing plate or it will leave you stranded somewhere.
