A bloke in 22 plate Range Rover pulled out of a side road, drove into me & knocked me off.
It's buckled my front wheel. The handle bars are twisted slightly left.
We've exchanged details. I've been in touch with him & he now knows what I know about my bikes condition.
It's going to JE James soon to be looked at.
He says he'll pay for everything.
My left arm aches above my elbow.
Has everyone else had a similar experience & what else should I do?

If your arm hurts you should definately have it checked by a doctor / hospital as it could develop into a long term problem.
It should also by law have been reported to the Police as damage and possibly injury have occured, and otherwise there might be problems if he decides not to take responsibility after all, and refuses to pay your damages. Also if you do develop an injury later you should report that to the Police.

A few years ago I was knocked off my motorbike at a roundabout by an old man with poor eyesight who didn't see me or the roundabout we were approaching! The Police were called but did not contact me after the event. A few months later I discovered by chance that he had been taken to court and fined £20 for careless driving. When I complained to the authorities I was told that the Police had reported no damage or injuries. In fact my 5 month old bike was declared a wright-off, and I had months of rehabilitation on my knees, which had both swollen up some hours after the accident.
If I ever have another accident I would make sure the authorites were kept informed of any developments so appropriate action could be taken.
