Hi all. Bike Is Raymon Trailray 10.0e. I bought it about a month ago and it covered just about 40miles. Could anyone who has the same motor reply please as I do not know what to do. Maybe I am just panicking for no reason. Many thanks

No it certainly sound sick . Make sure nothing is rubbing . Best to put it on a bike stand and see if something is rubbing.. last year I thought I had a shimano motor going duff . Turned out to be a dry external seal on a shock making noise as I peddled. Should be covered under warranty.

Thanks a lot for reply. I checked it nothing is rubbing. It must be the motor. Noise disappeared when I was pedaling with turned off motor. I will send it for repair under warranty

Low gear(big rear cogs) and low speed on flat terrain right, with almost zero pressure on the pedals/chain? It does not happen when climbing uphill right?

Seems a pretty normal thing, some motors have it more pronounced some less. Some have gotten a replacement, some haven't(depends on their dealer).

It doesn't however affect the motor in a bad way. Mine did the same and had it working fine 3800km until a software update by Giant killed it.

Quick update. I have contacted the shop I bought it from. Showed them the same video. Bike is going back under warranty as they said it is not usual sound and will be checked and replaced if necessary.

To emtbeast. You are right it usually happen on flat terrain but on all gears. My friend have exactly same bike with the same motor and his is quiet so I would rather have the same.

If it's in all gears then something is wrong. Good luck ✌️

Had also a replacement motor after 2 months of s new bike. The new motor was better than the first, but not good. Since a few weeks, the noises are getting louder and more after. Can't bike with bio bikers anymore, because on Eco it even disturb others...:(

I've had this noise on a PW-X2 that I had from new, the noise developed in under 80 miles.

I've heard this noise on a PW-X3 (Giant SyncDrive Pro) that I test rode which had covered 650 miles.

My bike now does it also which has done under 500 miles (PW-X3)!

My friend's new PW-X3 doesn't make the noise.

Therefore, in my experience it's common but not normal. My motor is currently being serviced so hopefully it comes back fixed though.

Moje motorka to teď dělá taky, a najela méně než 500 mil (PW-X3)!
