How else can you explain why the cable between the battery and the motor now costs 100$? A buddy of mine had the same issue and replaced his a couple months ago at the same shop. Now they charge $99.99. A couple months ago it was $21.99. I get that there is some inflation going on, some difficulty with freight etc, but five times the cost in a couple of months? Either NorCal Bikesport in Santa Rosa CA is ripping me off, or Specialized is ripping me off, or a combination of the two. Anyone have a good guess? I feel violated. It’s a piece of wire. Probably a 5$ part at most to produce, if that. Ridiculous. And they know there’s nothing you can do about it if you want your bike to work. Rant over.

I'm pretty sure this is some kind of pricing error, I have never saw this cable be so cheap even 1-2 years ago...

I just tightly wrapped (as tight as I could pull it) the motor end of my torn cable with black vinyl tape (electrician's tape). Thankfully that has been enough to stop my post-wash dead bike problem. I was going to order a replacement cable for backup, but not for $100!
