is there a new Orbea about to land ??

That's the whole point of the Rise though - it rides like a natural bike, you get more power out when you put more power in (and thats at higher cadence). The new Bosch lite motor too.

If you want something that gives you loads of power at low rpm get a full fat Bosch and you can mash the cassette up riding half way down the block at low rpm.

My suspicion is that people who used to ride up hills like stuff like the shimano. Those who used to push like the Bosch full fat approach.
I don't know how you ride a transition to a technical climb where you're going to do a lot of ratcheting to avoid pedal strikes on a regular bike, but I don't start by jamming into a low gear and start spinning at 90rpm.
A little assistance during half cranks would be nice, not sure which motor and software can do that but the EP8 800 definitely cannot. I assume the 801 didn't change that behavior. I don't even think it is a matter of light vs full fat, just the power delivery.
