No idea about the wild, but the refreshed Rise with 160/160 travel and bigger battery is going to be much closer in ability to the Wild than before. The entire range was up on the website for a day, so it will be announced very soon.

I saw an add on YouTube earlier, it’s a new Rise. The Wild won’t get an update for another 2 years or so if I had to guess.

Hopefully the Bosch , I’d like to see all the models start using compadatle components .

Nah doubt it. This picture was on my feed and that is definitely not the sx. Also, my local bike shop meantioned in confidence they are only getting one sx bike this year which turned out to be the mondraker. And they sell like a ton of orbeas, so I kinda think theyd habe known..

There is a rumor that Shimano is going to introduce a new light weight motor soon so that's a possibility...

Yup. All details were leaked here but deleted by admins at the request of Orbea. Cant post them.

New Occam is already on market. As Rise as clone of Occam you can easy guess how refreshed Rise will look like. Occam is in 2 version SL and LT so we may see same in Rise

From the mouth someone in the know.... (but don't hold me too it). Like the Occam there will be a normal tail and a LT version. Geo a bit more aggressive. Headset routing (BOOHOO), bigger battery and more power but lighter weight (not sure if I beleive this last bit!). If I was thinking about a Wild I would hang on and see what the reality brings. If it weren't for the headset cable routing I would be seriously considering changing mine.

Headset routing

JFC. How many years are we going to have to suffer this? It's such a bad idea. Internal routing is an almighty pain, and now you make it more problematic.

Headset cable routing, brought to you by SRAM! If you only had brake hoses it wouldn't be a big deal, come buy our AXS products!
If the 2025 does in fact have a Shimano EP8 variety motor I'll probably try something with a TQ or Fazua next. I'm not a fan of the spin it to win it method for a trail bike. I love most everything about my 2022 except for the fact that it becomes 45lb analog bike at low rpm.

Lots to like. More travel. Supposedly stiffer (and should be with the mainframe brace - always puzzled the original didn't have that. Bigger battery and effectively full power. Will be interesting to see what sort of range it gets at different power settings.

Just watched a YouTube video from Rob, nice bike but for the prices, I’m glad I picked up a 23/24 Rise at the price I got it for.

Rob mentioned it’s the same ep801 motor tuned by Orbea and can now use 85nm, I wonder if the current 801 motors will get an update? A bit like Bosch did when they added 85nm support.

No, because by my reading the increased power is linked to the new battery architecture (rather than the motor). Only the main battery has that so the full power isn't available when the hop up is attached.

That's the whole point of the Rise though - it rides like a natural bike, you get more power out when you put more power in (and thats at higher cadence). The new Bosch lite motor too.

If you want something that gives you loads of power at low rpm get a full fat Bosch and you can mash the cassette up riding half way down the block at low rpm.

My suspicion is that people who used to ride up hills like stuff like the shimano. Those who used to push like the Bosch full fat approach.

The EP8 and EP8RS can deliver 85Nm so it's not the new battery. Maybe it's the extender or wiring/connector that limits the max current it can supply.

The 801 has now 85nm and 600w peak power,the rs+ 801 is 85nm but maybe less than 600w peak ,
not sure.

The old 540 Wh battery was powerful enough to drive the standard EP8, but the 360 Wh battery wasn't. The new batteries are the same cell configuration with newer cells. The new 5.8 Ah cells bumps the capacity up to 420 & 630. And it seems the continous power output has increased by ~20%. The smaller 420 Wh battery shouldn't have any problems with a 500 Wh motor, but 600 W was too much it seems. The 630 Wh battery would have no issues and has no need for the RS software, but it seems it's important for Orbea to use the RS software. Regardless, the smaller battery Rise seems more interesting now. 17% more capacity and a more powerful motor.

I like the idea of the larger battery with the lower power mode, still plenty of power in boost, or trail mode really, but way more range, I'd definitely choose the bigger battery. Wish they had done more to address the rear end stiffness tho, the beefier chainstay will help but a seatstay bridge would of helped as well.

I’ve checked with a few places already, they won’t have stock until the end of the year! I was told November for the M10 LT and December for the LT Team model, both in size Medium.

They specifically addressed that with different chainstay, geometry and linkages so hopefully it's not an issue, but a test will confirm.

Mine has a little wag but not too bad, just seems like one of the biggest complaints. The CS was already pretty beefy but I would imagine the flex was more from the lack of a seatstay bridge and the 2 piece linkage design. I didn't see anything in the video about a linkage update what was done there? I like all the updates tho I would consider another one in the future, I also like that they got rid of the tubes for the brake/shifter lines connecting the front tri and the chainstay, the routing looks much cleaner
