Might be a dumb question but I’ll ask anyway: is the TQ HPR range extender battery cross compatible with all HPR50 bikes that support the extender? And by that I mean: are the extender batteries themselves bike specific? I ask because I see a lot of extender batteries labeled as specific Trek TQ HPR Range Extender batteries but I can’t imagine they are only for Trek bikes outside of perhaps needing a different length cable to reach the plug on the bike.

Unless, of course, they have bike specific firmware but I also doubt that’s the case… but I could be wrong.

If anyone knows that’d be helpful!

Thanks!

I think the only differences between the different bikes are the length of the cable used to connect the range extender battery to the bike. The battery itself is the same.

We have interchanged TQ range extenders between a Megamo Native and a BMC Fourstroke, both with the HPR 50 motor, and they work fine. TQ systems for Trek are apparently special (in some manuals I've seen notes about this) and they may hence not be interchangeable with other bikes from other brands.
