Is the error code E914 still relevant on the 2025 Cannondale Moterra SL2 Model?

Hi guys.

New member here. Just sold my Nukeproof Mega 297 and looking for a "lightweight" ebike.

It's an entirely new world and after far too much research, I narrowed it down to the Cannondale Moterra SL2, ticks all the boxes.

However, I then stumbled across a thread with many riders complaining of the dreaded E914 error. Some on their 3rd battery\motor, mostly on 2023 and 2024 bikes. Living up in NE of Scotland it sounds like a support nightmare.

Just wondering if this issue still occurs on the 2025 bike or the underlying issue has been resolved? I believe the Heckler also suffers(ed) from the same issue.

If anyone has suggestions on a lighter e-bike, MX wheels 160/150 travel.......

There is still E-914 code on 2024 Moterra SL, after shimano changed battery and motor this year. Updated software or hardware didn't help.

It seems, like after 6 months something wears out and occurs this fault.

I'm taking it to the repair shop soon. I'll let you know if I get any new information about whether shimano already knows the cause or if they'll just replace everything and hope it works.
