I have an EST-520 which is, to be honest, ones size too big. I'm looking at getting an upgrade (downgrade?) to a Small from a Medium.

The EST-520's are out of stock, but I can get an EST-900 - which is £300 more. But is it worth it for different suspension, an extra gear, a larger battery and different tyres.

Thanks for any advice.

Bugger ... but if it comes up again, only you can answer the question.

Would you use a larger battery or not.

Is the gear spread wider, so would it help you more on steep climbs ?

Do you ride fast over bumpy stuff, so the better suspension would make the bike easier to handle/faster ?

Larger battery - probably not. I've never yet run out of battery before I've run out of puff.
Gears - the ratios are the same (11-42) just spread over 10 gears, not 9.
Suspension - possibly. The 520's isn't the best in the world. But is the 900's that much better?

For now, I've adjusted mine a bit and I'll see how I get on.
