Is Smashpot Fox36 kit the same as for Fox38?

Hi
I'm looking in to bying a used Smashpot Fox36 kit for my Fox38 as the seller is sayng it is basically the same apart from the topcap. Is that true that thats the only difference?

The correct reply is no, the 38 kit has a different top cap and a sleeve that goes around the spring to take up the extra space inside the tube(38-36). If you call them, they might help you out.
 
The 38 uses a 36 air shaft. The space is taken up by a thinner tube with a 38mm top and bottom section. The spring has a shrink wrap too stop any internal damage to the fork, but it doesn't really apply to the 38 as the internal is a separate tube and can be replaced.
As the middle picture shows the tube that the air shaft runs in.
