Now that the Gen2 (M2, M2S) are launched, can someone confirm whether any of the batteries can retrofit to Gen1 (M1) PL Carbon Pro please?

I gave up waiting for the 600 WHr option in the US and purchased mine with 800 WHr battery.

While I love the bike, if the 600 WHr battery was made available for reasonable price, I'd love to swap that in. Most of my rides are for an hour and use 12% of the 800 WHr battery, so the 600 WHr makes more sense for my needs (prior bike was Orbea Rise M10 with 360 WHr battery so I'm used to riding in detuned Eco and Trail modes).

Also curious whether the Gen2 motors will fit into my old M1-based frame (bolt bosses, etc.) and work with the M1 electronics / plugs / ECU. Reason is if I run out of warranty and need to swap a motor in, it would be nice to be able to select the M2S to keep things lightweight.

Congrats again to Amflow for completely disrupting and significantly improving the eMTB experience. The power, control / resolution, configurability, parts selection, and pricing / value truly are next-level.

Hi,

There is a bloke on YouTube who has swapped in an M2S.
Apart from having new plug format for the speed sensor and SRAM AXS, everything is plug and play. The new plugs are the same as the headlight connector on the display. So if you can find a light cable it can be spliced to your old speed sensor. There is a listing for the M2 series speed sensor on the UK site and you can see the new blue Higo 4 pin plug.
