Hi all,
I want to install a dropper post (RFR telescope seatpost pro) on my Cube Stereo Hybrid 120 Race Allroad 750. I was wondering if people have experience with this and have some tips and tricks.
Thanks.

How do you guide the cable through the headset? Or how do you remove the upper battery holder so that you can easier reach the cables?

I higly suspect you´ll have to take the motor out , not a big deal if you know how to do it. Otherwise a PITA . May a wireless unit? Also fork must be out to do a clean installation.

Threading the dropper cable through the headset could be biggest problem. Too much movement and tight bends imo. The acute turn in the motor compartment is bad enough.

I’ve installed and repaired several cable-type droppers. That can be a big job sometimes. I eventually went with a wireless dropper (AXS Reverb). Expensive yes, but worth the cost. Ease of installation, less problems, cleans up the cockpit and motor compartment.

But in the end…they all just go up and down. 😉

It was a pain in the ass but I managed and I am pretty confident with the result 😀

Well done. It can be quite challenging sometimes. 👍🏻

Regarding the dropper controller …is that the suggested location by the manufacturer?

My location for the thumb actuator is under the bar grip. Your actuator seems to have a different mounting method.

Maybe I’m wrong here …but speed and ease of access to the dropper control is crucial sometimes.

Good one, I still can adjust it. I would normally place it on the left handlebar but there is the Bosch controler.

I’ve installed the Wolftooth dropper controller a few times. It seems to be secure and has a smooth operation. The controller provided by the manufacturer of a dropper post is usually …strange? Or cheap.
(I can’t post pics for some reason)

Anyways …I prefer the thumb actuated AXS paddle for the Reverb or the Wolf Tooth controller for all other types of droppers.IMG_1166.webpIMG_1165.webp
Hmmm …now it works.

Now I see what you mean. It's more horizontal. This is btw also a cool controller: Wolf Tooth 360 controller.
