How water proof is a pivot shuttle sl ( w/ Faunus motor)?

We are driving to Oregon with our bikes outside on car rack.. it’s sposed to rain the entire week.. but we still wanna ride.. thoughts anyone? We also have electronic shifters on our bikes.. should we cover the components and battery area? Thx

thanks for all the comments. it did rain on our pivots, I didn't see these comments till after transport.. we shall see how the bikes perform., no protection was added to bikes on the rack.. sigh.. but at least they were attached behind our crv which blocked some of the wind/rain from the road.

The vacuum behind the vehicle pulls air (plus water in your case) towards the rear of the vehicle.
