I purchased a bike from the east coast. He has a extra in frame battery and wants to ship it but is having a hard time doing it. Does anyone know the process and who does it?

I am in the same boat, I need to travel internationally with an ebike. The only thing I have come up with is to have a battery in each region which could get pricey but possibly less than the cost of shipping.

I looked into this a few years ago, and actually Plan on shipping myself a battery for a trip this year. You can ship a battery, anywhere on the planet, it will cost you though.

Go to UPS, FedEx, etc and ask what the process is for shipping a battery. I believe, if i recall, it has to be out of charge, and the contacts have to be covered with tape. They also have to mark the box as having Lithium in it.

I think they told me around $100 to ship anywhere in the US for like 600wh and maybe $200 to ship internationally, but it can be done. Just ask an actual UPS employee, not a store employee as those places are franchised.
