Based near Kirkby Stephen, used to mountain bike in the early 90s and had one of the first Saracens then a few years later Raleigh Yukon.
Huge gap where life, kids and racing motorcycles took over, but bought an ebike last year and I'm loving it, if these had been around years ago I'm not sure I'd have got into motorbikes!
In fact I love it so much I bought a full sus ebike a few months ago after using my dads full sus acoustic bike on a holiday for a week and decided I liked the comfort
I tend to like big rides, 5-6 hours and 60+ km being normal on naturaltrails with a coffee stop or two along the way.
This is starting to sound like a dating profile so I'll stop there ;-)

Nice tease ..so what did you buy ?
Some great riding in your area ..done The Calf / Bowderdale a few times on my full sus T130rs ..but haven't been back on the ebike yet ( but will ) ..
Welcome ..

Hi Hodge, I bought an Orbea wild fs. Nice bike but it should be for the price!
Bowderdale's a nice loop, I usually add in a few extras to make a full day of it as it's a little short for a good ebike ride.

Yeah ..its amazing that once what was a full day ride is compressed into just a few hours ..tempered by battery range of course ...my favourite part of that ride ( starting from Sedbergh ) is the return leg around Harter Fell / Murthwaite etc .
The drop down Bowderdale itself the last time I did it seemed to have taken a bit of a hammering with increased traffic & erosion ..that must be 3 or four years ago now ..
How is it holding up these days ?
Long overdue a visit though but will probably save it for better weather next year ..

It's very washed out but I've only ridden it this year so I can't give you any comparison.
