Hello, I'm Kery from Anchorage, AK. I just joined as I have entered the eMTB realm now that I've upgraded from 2017 Ghost Kato F3 to a new 2025 Cannondale Moterra SL 1. I haven't ridden in a couple years due to injuries (not bike related) and eager to get back on the saddle again.
I am fortunate to live in a city with over 40 miles of free singletrack trails across 2 sperate systems, one of which is literally across the street from my house!! I rode for a few years as a newbie riding with friends during the summer starting in 2016 through 2023 but am still a beginner at best. I have plans to ride a lot this year as well as take both a beginner and intermediate MTB course early this summer so I can gain some actual skills and techniques to make me a safer rider, as well as expand my riding opportunities growing my on-trail experience (and fun). I am sure there is a lot of great information here and will definitely be reading past posts to glean as much knowledge as I can.
Feel free to say hi, and if you are in Alaska, drop me a line and maybe we could connect for a ride when the snow melts.
