HELP wanted

Recently bought a, new to me, 2023 Focus Jam2 with 950km on it at auction. After a few days and even before my first ride i noticed a crack on the head tube. Focus warranty is only at the first owner i read online but what to do in this case? Weld, new frame and ask for some sort of goodwill?

The bike is in overall good second hand condition and has not been mistreated.

If you purchased that bike sold as seen, then your pretty much stuck with it.
Personally I would take it back to the auction house and try to get a refund. That frame is no longer fit for purpose and in a dangerous condition.
