Tip for first timers. If knocking off the freewheel from behind like I did make sure you either have someone catching it or do it over a bin or large rag so the pawls don't fire out to all corners of the workshop when it hits the ground... facepalm...

I think you'd find a DT Swiss star ratchet free hub much easier to live with! Stronger and doesn't need constant servicing like the Bonty hubs, and the parts are too big to lose ? no fiddly pawls & springs

Best tip for me was leaving the freewheel gears on for leverage and letting the assembly sit overnight with a few drops of Kano Kroil penetrating oil to seep into it. Next morning it popped right off.
