Someone put the sizes early on in the big e160 thread. You'll need to have a read there. Sorry I can't be more specific.

or this might help. Specs for headset listed.

I saw that eccentric headset kits were listed in the "Official' thread, to reset the head angle after fitting 29ers up front. Nothing about regular replacements...30+ pages...groan !
The link helps- at least I know they are a generic FSA set- I can probably work with that !

cheers

These guys are helpful

Also, my LBS is a Merida dealer, can one of those not help? I would think they should be able to lay their hands on spares...

My nearest Merida dealer doesnt touch eMTBs ...
Initially, after reading comments on here about the bearings being unique to Merida, I feared Id have to go to them directly for replacements. I cant find anything, even from Merida, that would let me source them..! I expected to get numerous hits from a google search but nada. Nuttin', nowt, diddlysquit- precisely !!

Happily, Tom @Trailvision ( All Bike Bearings ) has stepped up and offered some insight, and the option to return any that arent a fit...
Cant say fairer than that !
Thanks for reading

Mine sells and services Merida MTBs. Buyabike.co.uk.

Not open Wednesdays and usually from 12pm when they are on Weekdays...

Don't buy new replacement Merida/FSA bearings as they aren't sealed and turn to shit in no time. I replaced the bearings in the FSA headset on my 2019 e160 and the missus' 2018 e120 with some quality sealed stainless steel bearings.

Standard bearings measurements -

30.15mm x 41.00mm x 6.50mm 36deg x 45deg
40.00mm x 51.80mm x 7.50mm 36deg x 45deg

The standard lower bearing is 51.80mm OD and can be a loose fit in the cup, creating a creaking noise. a 52.00mm bearing is a snug fit which i went with. I think a few guys have done this to fix creaking noises.

My replacements below -

30.15mm x 41.00mm x 6.50mm 36deg x 45deg
40.00mm x 52.00mm x 7.00mm 36deg x 45deg

I hope this helps. Don't worry if the thickness varies by +/-0.5-1.0mm (my lower is slightly thinner @ 7.00mm instead of 7.50mm), its not going to make much difference, so long as the internal and external measurements are correct you're good to go.
