We are new LEVO SL owners... My wife got the grayish medium and I got the green large. I never noticed on other bikes the difference in head tube size between the sizes of the same mtb. I know the frame tubes get longer but I didn't realize certain portions get enlarged. Is this normal for other bike brands or just a Specialized thing???

It is very common throughout the industry. Most all major bike brands use it to help keep the geometry right as the frame size changes.
