So as the title says what frame should i choose to my hardtail etmb build.
Ive been riding my 2022 Giant Reign e+3, size L for 2 yrs and i absolutly love it. Now iam looking to get hardtail bike for my "daily" commuter to around city.
For frame geometry iam 186cm tall and 105kg.
I dont want road/gravel bike but i dont want full suspension either so hardtail it is.
I want build sturdy bike with decent components to cruise around in tarmac and maybe even some skate park action.
here is list of frames what i have found so far:
- Dengfu E14, bafang motor platform
- Lightcarbon LCE1066, bafang motor platform
- Lightcarbon LCE561, Shimano EP800 platform
Is there more frames, what i have not found yet? Is bafang better than Shimano?
There is huge discounts on shimano parts in german dealers. They are selling batterys for 200 eur and if calculated right whole shimano e-package costs under 700eur (Battery+holder, motor, display, cables, sensor, etc).
For other parts here is list what have been planning to use:
SLX/XT 12-speed transmission, no DI2 parts.
Magura MT5 /7 or Shimano XT brakes, with 203 discs.
Mavic or DT swiss wheel set, size not thought yet, 30mm inner width and maxxis hookworm or schwalbe super moto tyres (2,4-2,5 width).
Rockshox psylo/lyrik or even domain/zeb fork 130 - 150mm travel. (i love my giants domain with charger 2.1 set).
But yeah here is something what ive been planning... Give your opinion what route i should go.
Ps. sorry for spelling errors / typos, english is not my native language.
