Haibike fly on charging port

Does any body know the correct procedure for using the charging port on the side of the bike ?
bike switched on ? Bike switched off ?
im nervous of trying mine again as last time I did it had a wobble & I had to change the wiring loom ?

I just plug it in to the bike and then switch on the power to the charger.
But strange you should ask as last time I then had to also switch on the bike for charging to begin. I am sure (??) that previously the bike switched itself on automatically.

Mmmmm see I’m not sure either .. so the bike has to be switched on to charge & will switch its self off agin once charged ?

OK. I just went and did what I have always done. Plug in bike, switch on charger. Bike switches on, charges and switches off.
My last time (when I had to switch the bike on to get it to charge) must just have been a one-off glitch.

I‘m not sure it needs to be switched on? That would be a security breach as in the bike is live whilst it’s charging making the PIN pointless?
Im sure it used to just bring up the charging logo when plugged in. I’ll experiment today.

Deffo charges without inputting the PIN.

Plug in charger. PIN screen comes on. Ignore and it charges ok.

I'm not fully sure, but mine with the bike turned off, the led on the charger stops blinking, so it isn't charging..

Well today was the day ??
and yep it’s charging through the side port ..
plugged it in switched it on .. bike then fired up & started to charge ??…
No more batterie in & out for me …
