Upgradeitis.....

Have a Giant Stance e+ 2 and would like better suspension.

This is the current setup:
    • Fork
      SR Suntour XCR 34 LO-R, 140mm travel, tapered steerer, Lockout, 110x15 thru-axle
    • Shock
      SR Suntour Raidon R, 190x45mm
Any suggestions please either new or used

See this tread here for some fork replacement information:

And then see this thread here for the shock:

I have a 2021 Stance e+2. Needed something more for the skills bike parks.
Changed my fork (SR Suntour XCR34 130mm) to a Fox 36 E-optimized Factory 160mm.
Major improvement, highly recommend.

Also changed my shock (Rockshox Monarch R) to a Fox Float DPS. Small improvement.

Any weight difference?

Yes, slight increase. I held both forks when I moved the crown to the new fork. But did not weigh them.

Overall bike weight in the past was very important to me, but now with a 54lb. e-bike and me at 220lb. function and durability is now more important to me.

I just upgraded my 2023 Giant Stance E+ 2 suspension and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Adding some notes here to help anyone else with this bike.

Fox 34 Factory Grip X29" Fork, 140MM

It comes with a star nut, but you need a crown race. The original QR axle didn't work, I switched to the Fox packaged axle. I'll have to spend on a Fox QR. Weight savings from 2526g (original suntour) to 1686g.

FOX Float DPS Factory Shock OE Packaged

You need the Fox 6MMx22.2 Shock mount kit. There is no lower bushing. Weight increase from 275g (original suntour) to 310g.
I guessed at the torque settings for the shock mounts--I went with 9Nm for the top, 15Nm bottom. If anyone knows better, please post.

anyone upgraded their fork to a non-ebike fork? I have found some great deals on non-etuned forks but not sure if they will work fine.

What size rear shock did you put on? 190x45? Something else?

Im looking to upgrade my rear shock. I have a 2022 stance e+2. Id like to upgrade to a fox float factory 7.25x1.75. Did you need the bushing kit because the width of the eyelet was to long?

Did you have ro do anything special to upgrade the rear shock? What size did you use?
