Giant reign e+3 fault

Can anyone help
had no prblems with my giant reign until today. Works normally then the display goes grey. The range drops out and there is no assist. Ergo 3 up and down doesnt work either. Switch off and on again. Works breifly and does same again.
Checked connections all dry and no water ingress. Carried out a health check with fault on and all read ok. My only thought is, is there a thermal cut out switch as it was a hot ish day of 24 degree Blue skys? Any ideas most welcome

Unsure but i do know on my bike if is downshift the motor speed controller past lowest setting, it actually turns assistance off. Then the display ( on bike ) just goes white lights on the RHS. maybe disconnect the cables from hea dunti and leave for a bit?
