Well after a successful borrowed ride of a mates Trek Rail 7 yesterday, I'll be very shortly sticking the old school bike up for sale and looking for some new wheels!

I've always been interested in the either the Trek rail or Orbea Wild, just trying to find a shop with an Orbea in to demo now before I hit the button on one of them.

I was amazed at what I could climb up yesterday at Surrey Hill's!
Never attempted the climb up out of Evian before, but the rail smashed it!

Anyone have experience of both of these bikes?

Hi Jim

I ride a Giant but just wanted to say welcome aboard(y)

Cheers, Joe
Thanks

I used to work in a giant shop actually. But I never actually got on with the maestro suspension setup. Arriving to work on a trek Remedy I had to use the back door!

I pretty decided on the Trek Rail now, the orbea is pretty hard to hold off near me I seems.

Just weighing up between the 7 or 9

You may have pulled the pin and bought the Rail but I thought I would share my experience of the 2 bikes with you.

I have a Rail 5 and 4 mates have Orbea wild Fs in differing specs.

In our experience, the Rail actually climbs better the Orbea has a more solid feel and less creeks.

the 2 bikes are very hard to separate. If you are still looking for an Orbea, cycle gear in Halifax Uk have them in stock at reasonable prices.
