Hi, anybody fitted a larger front ring to their Marida? I was hoping to fit a 38t but it looks a bit tight to the chain stay. This is only based on visuals as they don't seem to give the diameter in any info. I could fit a 36 but is it worth it for two teeth? Just looking to sperad the gears a bit. Any info would be good. Cheers.

I dropped $20 on a Snail from eBay on the off chance it might fit. It arrived last week, and... no way it fits. ?

Its a Praxis works 36 Tooth 104 BCD Wave front sprocket. Cost $100 NZ dollars. Sourced through my local bike shop.

Could you put some spacers behind the chain ring to get a bit more clearance in that pesky bit of chain stay?
Unfortunately this will effect the chain line and put a lot of stress on the chain in the 37t + 46t gears

I want to go the other direction - 30 tooth and 11-45 on the rear. I don't think I'll get to use the smallest four gears because of the 25km limitation. I want to get the st unlock program, but even at 32km I'll still have unused gears.
