Notable wear on mine and looking at replacement before breakage

Fitted on my Levo, on a Crank Brother Synthesis wheel with Shimano Microspline
The Part number FH-904 26.11.2019
assuming the later part is a production date (could be wrong)
Nevertheless
After much searching I ”seem” to only find FH-903 freehubs

Can anyone advise if these are compatible ?

Noting the “seem” above,
On the Commencal website they do state as having FH-904 freehub

So what is your problem?

ps it is a Formula Part and they virtually only supply OEM so you will find it ( as a bove) on a bike brand site that fits it to one of their bikes but not as an aftermarket sale item.

Here is the shimano one I have rebuilt today. No idea if it's same as yours but if it is then yes they can be rebuilt.

I’m trying to establish if FH 904 & FH903 is the same part
I‘ll likely order the Part from Commencal but, want to avoid the extortionate delivery/import charges

Nothing quite so involving fortunately
Three ratchet pawls, a circumference spring and two bearing, so relatively easy to strip
The hard bit would be getting the parts, though probably worth exploring

I removed last last striped, cleaned & lubed, may keep me running for a while until I get replacement

I tried to repair one of a trek rail and the bearings were fixed into the body. Thankfully a strippable replacement was only about £28.

The problem here is that rear hubs are usually supplied complete with the freehub.....or a choice of freehub .....hg/microspline/xd....
So Synthesis should be able to tell you what hub and freehub was fitted to that wheel and possibly supply spares/service kits.

I’ve sent a note and discussing with tredz who supplied wheel on compatibility between FH-904
Im of The thinking it shall be fine fitting the FH-903, or likewise switching between Microspline or SRAM Xd

Response from Crank Brother via Tredz, received and seems like I had the Alloy version FH-904
Where as, freehub FH-903 is steel Version and better suited to E bikes

I went to tredz uk and purchased
Noting there was an aluminium and steal version, from discussion with Tredz they had the steal drivers and I’ve had one year use so far

So is a 903/904 compatible/interchangeable? This is for a Whyte hub. Whyte pointed me in the direction of the 904 on the commercial site

An ebike or hard ridden acoustic will require a steel freehub body as the load and torque won't take long to destroy an alloy one.
I had a similar problem with my Focus Jam2 when the freehub collapsed due to the Novatec hub using loose balls running on the inside of the hub which eventually wore through the case hardening.
As I couldn't get a hub at the time due to it being mid covid I bought a complete wheel with an alloy freehub to keep the bike going until i could obtain a new hub.
That wheel was used for approximately 500kms and by then the cluster had cut grooves nearly halfway through the spines on the alloy HG freehub.
