Thanks for all the help in my previous post, I have decided to go for the Trek Powerfly LT 9.9

On my Specialized Enduro I had a L frame but ended up swapping it for a M.

I am 5ft 10 do you think i’d be best going for the 17.5 or the 18.5 frame size

It depends upon your leg length, or maybe your upper body. Are there any clues on the Trek website? (Sorry, you have probably already looked there). If you know what geometry suits you, then maybe the geometry table will be of use. I find them essential.

I have a long body for my height, ie I look even taller sat down. So whatever size bike I buy, it has to have a long reach, without having either a high standover or a high stack. Typically I am a Large, but I have had to reject Canyons for being too short and Yetis for being too tall. I could have ridden them of course, but I'm trying to buy a bike that is as close to me as possible.

Im 5'11" and I have an 18.5. I find it a bit small though, plus the dropper is only 125mm on the 17.5 & 18.5. I changed the dropper out to a 150mm and it made a massive difference, I am now able to stretch my legs fully and climbs are more comfortable.

My Dad has a 17.5 and its definately too small. I also have a 2019 Levo in large and its the perfect fit for me. I would look at the 19.5 with the Trek, it also has the 150mm dropper post ( This on the LT7, Im assuming its the same for the 9.9).

I am 5'11" and the 19.5 is a perfect fit. I did change the stem for a 40mm but that was more for slightly better handling.
Also the dropper post on the 9.7 is 125mm on the 19.5. You might not be able to fit the 9.9 in size 19.5 if it comes with a 150mm dropper.

I have a 17.5 LT9fs 2018 I find the reach on it a little cramped so playing about with the cockpit. I am 5' 8 ish, So I wouldn't think 17.5 is for you. The frame geometry can be downloaded online.
