Do you tink it would be a good idea to put the new fox 36 on a levo 4 considering the claims that it is 22% stiffer and almost as stiff as a 38? but 200g lighter?

Thinking of a project build and considering a 36

What's the aim of the project build? Lighten up the front end?

Replacement gen 2 which is a light build. Will be using a 600 battery with it. And odd multi day stage race. Where we allowed one battery swap per stage.
Interested to hear what weight you end up with. My Expert is 25.3 kg with tubes, Burgtec MK5 pedals, std bottle holder and front fender 😱

That is rather heavy .... Im hoping to get the bike around 22.5 to 23 with the 600wh, anything lighter I'll be thrilled.

My Part Lists (some of the parts are from my Gen3)

Fox 36
Mavin Ultimate
GX Axs (cause I dont get the point of trashing a XO with the natural rocky trails I ride) (Gen3)
Roval HD 350 Carbon (Gen3)
One up Bar and Dropper. (Gen3)
Bikeyoke Stem. (Gen3)
Eddy Current rear (gravity)
MM front trail
Bridge Saddle (Gen3)

So all I need to purchase is the Frame, fork and brakes.

Have a full XT kit I'll put on the gen3 lying around from another build that did not happen.

Don't put the 36 on the levo.
During testing the 36 got destroyed

Spesh built a “lightweight” gen 4 using the Fox 36, Genie Float shock and the 600w battery. If it’s something they’re saying you can do then I’m sure it’s fine.
