After reading that fox now use 4wt motorex oil instead of the 5wt Teflon oil in the damper side of the 38s. I decided to do an oil change and put the 4wt in.
Upon disassembly I had a lot of shims fall out of the top damper assembly
Turns out the 38s aren't full of magic and fairy dust after all
Lots of internet searching and it's looking like my 2021 forks got fitted with the 2024 shim kit when I sent them off for warranty problem a while ago.
Anyway there back together now but feck knows if they work or not as not riding for a while.
