Just to add, Spoke to the shop I've ordered through and Forbidden have recently said they are still on target for the original ETA of Aug/Sep
Excellent news. I am located in the US. Thought it was interesting the article stated Forbidden will be shipping with them tuned to 750w, but owners would be able to change that in the app. Maybe that's just for the US, I'm not certain.

I'm in the UK so not sure what position we are in in terms of batches, I do know I'm one of the first for a UK bike though so fingers crossed it comes earlier

I'd expect Forbidden to just ship them all with 750w, I don't plan on running any more than that anyway and will likely turn it down to 500w for more range anyway like my old Ep800, never really felt it needed more power at that level. More range is more for me rather than mad 1000w climbing 😂

I would be interested in how you get on with the DJI and what time you put on it withe app as I would prefer a equivalent to tour + on Bosch for longer tour type rides .
I believe team cycles at Kielder will be stocking then so hope to get a test ride once they arrive

Sorry if i missed this elsewhere in the thread - can an 800W battery be fitted into the LitE model which comes standard with the 600W battery?

Not the best or most encouraging review unfortunately. Sounds like it could be one to perhaps wait and see it try and ride before buying …… I absolutely love the bikes looks and Forbidden as a company but maybe the Amflow is still the safer bet ….
You know what I watched that and thought a out it for a bit and anything negative he said was down to his preference to how he likes a bike to ride .
These guys test so many bikes they develop a personal preference that the average rider will never get near to .
I honestly think anyone who shells out 1000s of 💵 💰 without testing the bike and making there own conclusion are crazy .

Yep I completely agree the only issue being if you want one of these this year you have no choice as there are no spare bikes or any bikes to test so you have to be brave and take a chance.
I think to be fair to Cole who tested it he’s pretty neutral usually in his opinion but you could definitely tell he was blown away let’s put it that way

Totally with you on this everyone rides differently and as he says he’s had one day of riding on it and that’s nowhere near enough. The issue with demoing bikes then ordering is that you are waiting years for them to arrive the way things are at the moment. If I was to order now I would get one till early next year and I can’t even access a demo right now.
Overall I don’t think his review was negative, he compared it favourably to the new Levo etc

I rewatched the video, read all the comments and really didn't pick up an any negativity towards the bikes. Other than only getting to spend a couple hours on them. He definitely seems excited to spend more time on them riding local trails he knows. He compared them favorably to other top bikes, including the Orbea Wild. That is high praise for that group. I do think it will ride differently from some bikes and that's what I'm excited about. I totally agree about waiting to demo a bike. My LBS, here in the US ordered mine in December and it will still be delivered in the second waive. Hopefully, the first part of September. Just FYI: I received an Indeed job alert for a Key Account Specialist position in the US for Ebikes, with DJI. So, unless there is another bike company named DJI, I think that's a good sign for the US market.

What I've picked up on in all reviews (except Cahal) of the E-Core is that, the geo and the resultant weight balance is indeed a bit weird. Yes, it has a great motor and incredible rear suspension with great traction.

I'm unlikely to get an opportunity to ever demo one, but I do know what has worked for me in the past so spending 5 figures on something that I'm not sure how well it will work for me, is sort of a bridge too far really.

I hear the RAD argument, but outside of extremes I just don't view it the same. I also love long CS's, but these are like really long. Like if they were 445mm and grew to 465mm, that would be long. But they are other level from even that.

Looking at all the reviews available at the moment they all favour the Lite ! Coles opinion from the latest Loamwolf video confirms it , if you read his insta post and comments , he said he really liked it but it doesn’t come across like that as he wanted more time on it , he’s said the longer rear end doesn’t effect its ability to manual and hop it just makes a difference in the tighter turns but said it’s in a positive way.

I think it’s obviously something that would just take a little time to get used to but once you have it’s got to be good or they would build it like that ….. everyone review of the acoustic bikes I see pretty much confirms this and people who own then absolutely love them and don’t usually go back….

My only concern would be the playful side of things as I like to jib and generally just piss about , I would choose 800 over 600 but not if 600 makes for a much better ride , I have an Amflow and tbh I never use more than 70% on one ride infact it’s more like 50%

Just spoke to my LBS, appears there are NO S4 (xlarges) being shipped to Australia this year. They have confirmed the S3 will ship this year (not sure when). Given the review by the Loam Wolf, I've downsized to an S3 tier 2 in the Teal. My LBS is still bringing in the S4 so if ithe S3 really doesn't fit then I can still change it up. I was 6'2", but I am shrinking and now really only 6'1". Not hard charging anymore. I was a bit stressed given all the chatter here about size and I am right in the twilight zone beteen the S3 and S4.

A s3 should fit you well. All those forbidden guys look 6’1”+ and they are on the s3. I’m on the line of s2/s3 and worry about stack on the s3. My meat powered Druid v2 is a s3, but the geo is much longer reach and shorter stack compared to the e.

I would have bought this bike had it been available in a frame only option, that i could buy online. I don't understand why so many bike companies make it so difficult to choose them. I don't want to drive 5 hours each way to get a bike and i don't want to pay for a full set of components that i will swap out anyway.

Yes I’m with you on the components but that’s where they make the money.
It's totally fine to make money. They can still make money if they sell the frame option + markup. It's just silly if they do it the specialized way, where frame option is same price as lowest spec version with the same frame.

They only pay a few hundred dollars for the entire base build.
That's the problem, everyone says that they want the frame only (me too) but then they complain when it's only $600 less than the cheap build.

That is a shame! I’m from Aus and a tad over 6’2”, was planning on getting the S4.
I think I’ll pull the trigger on a heavily discounted EP801 XL Yeti 160e.

Some brands (like forbidden) make lowest tier still relatively high end, so it makes sense to make a frame only option. Even a big company like trek or spec wouldn't get lowest tier components on druid for 600 bucks.
And considering forbidden size, i highly highly doubt they get it at the same prices as giant/trek and the other big ones, making it an even better proposition.

I'm guessing since Avinox is new, quantities were limited, timelines were fluctuating etc, they went full build to be safe (and to maximize income).

In a year or two, they'll probably have frame kits. They seem more like a frame only biased company due to their size.

As we get closer to Aug just curious if anybody else has heard about shipment dates yet ? i preordered my core 2 from WWC and the staff said Haro Bikes will be handling U.S. fulfillment out of their Vista California warehouse. They also said to expect the bikes a few weeks later than initially estimated... which i believe was end of July.

My local shop said it's looking like mid-September for deliveries.
