I am going to be flying with my Levo at some point so wanted to test if it would fit in a bike box. It did but required a fair bit of faff I had to remove Rear mech, pedals, handlebars, brakelevers, forks, battery (obviously) and deflate tyres. If doing it for real I’d also do a lot more padding and remove rotors. Also it would need custom skewers to hold wheels in place (29ers) fitted with magic Mary front and butcher rear. I reckon this took about 40 minutes. I’m going to look at other bags eg douchebag and velo vault 2.

You do know you can’t take the battery by air don’t you?

Yes sure that's why I said I removed the "battery (obviously)". I have read that thread but hadn't seen he had a good outcome of getting a battery so thanks for sharing. For my next trip I'm taking out a demo bike as I'm only there for a couple of days and Sleasyjet want £90 to take a bike box.
