P chip v hornej alebo dolnej
That's a Scott Genius eRide (Bosch CX and the Fox Float DPS trunnion shock give it away, plus it matches the e-genius 910 on your profile). The bolt with the HIGH/LOW stamp you've photographed is exactly the geometry flip chip Scott put in the upper shock mount.
What each does on the Genius/Ransom eRide platform:
•
LOW is the default setting - the flip-chip is set in "low" setting by default and you can flip it to "high"
for a different wheel/tyre combo.
• Riders comparing the two on this exact bike found low setting is more planted and goes down better, while high mode turns a bit sharper in tight corners - a subtle difference, not night and day.
• Its main engineering purpose isn't really a "preference" toggle - the flip chip allows Scott to maintain a similar BB height when switching from one wheel size to the other, so which position you want depends on whether you're running 29" both ends or mulleting the rear to 27.5".
So: if you're on 29"/29" and just want a slightly slacker, more settled bike for descending - LOW. If you've gone mullet at the back or want it a touch steeper/more agile for tight singletrack - HIGH.
As for which one that bolt is
currently in from the photo - I can see the HIGH and LOW stamps clearly enough but can't tell from this angle which hole the bolt is actually threaded into. Easiest way to check: pop the bolt, and whichever word reads right-way-up when the chip's seated is your current setting.
