First ride on the new bike and I have to say it's much better than I thought it would be, instantly felt comfortable on the bike and was pushing harder than I have for a good long time

Greath Bike, my crafty XR ED2 2024 came in the mail yesterday and for sure i ridden it. i have owned quite some mountainbikes before but havent been so comfortable on one since ! 100% love this bike so far

I’d certainly recommend looking into it further, if you’ve not already seen it There’s a good review on the bike on the Brian Cahil Chanel on YouTube about the bike.

I've actually ridden one a couple of years ago at a demo day in the lakes.
I was more taken with the electric shifter and dropper post that I didn't take any notice of how it rode 😁
Seem to remember it had a 12k price tag also 😱

Nice bike! I'm considering to buy it but shops in my country didn't make enough stock so my size it is sold out.. Need to wait for another batch if only mondraker produce more for this season..

EuanS2 I have couple question..

Is there anything in this frame you don't like? How battery mounting is keeping, any problems with it? Is there any rattle after some real life distance (dunno how much km you have done so far)? Is seatpost max insertion any problem for you? What is your height and what frame size did you choose? Is it ok for you?

The only thing about the frame that annoyed me is that the internal cable routing isn’t fully lined so it was a bit of a faff fitting my Hope brakes, having said that it is lined round the motor so you at least don’t have to drop the motor

The battery mount is fine, once it’s in it’s solid, it’s not like my Trek Rail where it would rattle about, I’ve only done 31 miles on the bike so can’t really say much about long term but so far it’s just quiet, , a mate was following behind me and he was impressed by how quiet it is.

My height is 182cm and I’m on a M/L which is a perfect fit, it feels way more comfortable than my Large Trek Rail. For me at my height the seat post insertion is fine as I’m able to get it down as far as I need to but I can see how it could be an issue for taller people.

Thanks! I now see that you make some cool upgrades! Is this stock shimano cassette and you put on it sram GX derailleur and sram chain? How is it all working?

I'm 178 cm and wonder if I should choose M or M/L.. On one hand Mondraker tables recommends both but the reach of M (460mm) matches my previous bike.

I have been looking at the reviews for these and I am very tempted by them.
Where I ride in the Cotswolds in the autumn and winter it gets really sloppy and the bike gets covered in mud. It looks like the rear shock is right in the firing line for much coming off the back wheel. Does the shock get filthy, or is there something to protect it?

Recently, I decided to upgrade my Moustache Game 6 2021 for the new Mondraker Crafty R 2025. But just two days before receiving it, I fractured my right foot and still haven't been able to take it out for a ride. After having it at home for two months, I think I'll finally be able to go on my first ride next week! I'm beyond excited and counting down the days until my doctor gives me the green light to hit the trails here in Asturias, Spain.

, yeah, I changed a few parts over from my old bike to the Crafty, No I changed the cassette too a GX T Type one too so mines is all T Type now.

Your height puts you right at the top end of the medium, if I was you I’d be wanting to try out both if I could

There’s 2 little mud guards that seem to be doing a good job of keeping the shock clean or at least I haven’t had to clean it yet.

Nice one, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have been, set up the suspension as per the guide on Mondrakers website, that’s what I done and I haven’t felt the need to play around with the suspension since

There is no option to check/fit to mondraker bikes where I live, only shipping at online store.. If crafty carbon will be available anytime soon I think I will go with size medium, same reach as on my previous ebike, what could go wrong ;)

If you have a long torso, take M/L.
But this bike is made to be ridden in middle of the sizing charts : so M/L is for you ;)

Lovely looking bike. I'm looking at ordering however a little unsure on size. I'm 174.5cm tall with inside leg of 82.0cm. Thinking the M/L should be best?
Have any of you had issues with the dropper being in the way on descents? I've seen this comment on a few reviews.

Sorry on the slow reply. I'm around 180cm with aa 82cm inside leg and the M/L fits me perfectly, The seatpost for me is fine as I have it inserted as far as it can go but I can see why people could have concerns as I get pretty close to the seat on steep trails but t it hasn’t caused me any issues yet

One more question, your crafty paintwork (colorway: black/nimbus grey/tonic gold) is definitely in matte finish. Did you see the other colorway (bunker grey/fog grey/flame red) in real? :> i wonder is it matte too or maybe glossy?

Sorry, I’m not too sure as I’ve not seen the other colour in the in the flesh

Any further updates on the bike. Im seriously considering one of these to replace my gen 3 levo.

I am 185 cm and was considering a large frame.

Ive seen a few reviews now saying there is a bit of flex in the rear end of the frame? Have you noticed this at all?

Size M would be also my choice at 177cm height and 83inseam.
But.... The very short insertion of the post is making me doubting on this bike.

I went and tried the Crafty RR and the Whyte Kado RSX, decided to go with the Whyte in the end.

Hello, is there anybody who has opened rear shock in his carbon r and found no volume spacer inside? There should be the 0.2 installed, as specs on website.

During my first rides with my carbon r I bottomed out to much easily, bought the Fox spacer kit to swap the 0.2 with the 0.4 , but I found none installed.

I ended installing the 0.2 instead.

I’m on that boat too, 75 kg ,195 psi have to test, was on 185 psi and sometimes bottom it out, what was the result with the 0.2 cc spacer? Thanks

Much better, but after I added the 0.1" spacer so to have a total amount of 0.3” cubic inches, cause I still bottomed out a few times.
Now it seems perfect for me, I'm about 74 kg and have set it to 195 psi.
I also added the LSC dial, but after all maybe it wasn't necessary.
