Hello

I first want to thank this community in help me get a bike. These are the bikes I have norrowed it down too. Mainly seeing what people had as an opinion. I can get a custom teewing in two weeks. The other two I found in other states. Orbea wild lt with the Bosch and Santa Cruz vala with the same Bosch motor. Which one would you get and why? Is teewing good? I am not looking to bomb downhills just a good sll around all mountain. I am just getting back into it so that is why looking at the 160mm range. I am also just getting my strength back after tearing my achilles. Budget is 7k below. I know they are all different bikes but just looking for last year's model or a good deal on something new on the lower end builds.

Thanks
Casey

My vote is the Orbea. Super reliable motor. Strong reliable motor, Great geometry and ergonomics and it’s done very well in all the bike tests. I rode one once and it was great. Plus it looks just plain awesome

I've got a Teewing Flux, thing is insane so far. I havent tried the other two, but the M2S motor is hilarious fun!
But for me it was a value decision and the fact the Teewing was available as a frameset.

Orbea and not especially close imho. Great bike and great brand.

Is teewing good?
I have the Teewing Flux. I would get the Teewing over those other bikes.

Why?

1) The M2S motor and System is brilliant.
2) 180/178 High Pivot is providing the butteriest ride. It makes such a massive difference.
3) Bang for Buck. I got the whole bike for AUD$10K.
4) Adding the SRAM AXS Transmission to M2S gives you Coastshifting. I can stay so balanced and not worry about pedal strike, whilst shifting multiple gears quickly. Once again another game changer for me.

Those are 3 random choices with 3 different travel levels, two different moto option and two different wheel choices.

You have listed
150/150 Tee wing avinox full 29er
150/160 vala Bosch mullet
170/170 wild. 29er with mullet option

As the orbea wild LT avinox has just been released you should be able to find deals on the bosch one. I see 20+% of on bosch Wilds.
As most people are clambering to lay their hands on Avinox m2s motor systems, there's probably a good chance your'l be able to find some discounts on the vala too.

Out of that list id go.... none of them.

Teewing its out because no mullet option.
Vala is out, not enough travel for this dirt couch loving slut.
Bosch wild is out. Head set cable routing can fuck right off!!!!

So if i had to choose my least hated favorite bike out of this lot i'd choose the vala based solely on being mullet without stupid cable routing.

Teewing is 180/170 and can be mullet

My bad! I had no clue they had another Avinox option. Yeah I’d bail on that as well. The flux id consider.
Ok, so now you add high pivot 170/180 to the list

That's a different fish again.

Given you have heavy hitting enduro bikes in the mix, ditch the Vala. Thats more of a trail bike.
Out of the bosch wild or flux i'd choose the teewing and get the fast charger and be able to charge the bike back at lunch time for double the riding for the day. Plus as mentioned i hate the orbea's headset cable routing.

With that said. The new avinox wild lt doesn't have head set cable routing isnt high pivot and will be a lighter more playful bike while still being a big travel enduro bruiser.

I would go a wild LT over a flux.

For reference i have a high pivot, a mid pivot and a vpp bike and have owned a bunch of 4 bar bikes.
I have done my high pivot time and are fading back into traditional designs, thus my preference over for the wild over the flux.

Many people are loving the high pivot e bike experience. They do offer chunder munching square edged hit absorbtion. But with the added suck of increased difficulty to hold the front up off drops and manualing combine that with the long avinox 800wh battery upfront they feel more like a heavy front end e bike than a more playful mtb. They are more shoot and plow that pop and play kind a bikes.

If none of them. What would you choose. It was just stock photos. The teewing is 160mm.

The missing information are what you want to do with it, what's your fitness, your budget, etc.
Hey man I am just getting back into it. Not planning on go full bore downhills more just all mountain. My budget is 7k ish.

Welcome
All im going to say is ride them if you cant and are unsure dont buy them , because if your that up in the air with your choices advice off the forum is not going to help you :)
Happy Hunting (y)

I vote Vala if you're not looking for a long travel bike. The wild is great but if you don't need a smash all type bike then I wouldnt. I would also consider customer care. Who are you close to? Who do you want to work with? Santa Cruz is a pretty good local company if youre in the states...

Santa Cruz.

I've a mate who has the wild, needed new frame bearings and had to wait 3 months till the LBS could get them in stock.
Teewing, chinese, warranty, support etc.
Santa Cruz have a good dealer network and lifetime frame bearing replacements.

I'm an Orbea fanboi but from those 3 I'd get the Vala.
If you orbrea fna boi. Why the vala than?

You've said you want a more of a all-mtn bike rather than a plough.

Plus you'd probably have an easier time with any warranty issues with SC, and of course the lifetime bearing replacements.

that's pretty weird - they aren't particularly exotic or owt - just 6801, 6802, 6804 Max

Aye, same questions came up when they told him he had to wait 3 months.

If you're out of warranty, crack on. If you're in warranty and want to stay within warranty then you're at the mercy of Orbea's supply chain
