Hello!

My fazua ride 60 system is not working properly.

I recently purchased a 2025 YT Decoy SN equipped with the Fazua Ride 60 drive system, and I am experiencing a recurring battery issue.

• The battery charges to 100% normally.
• However sometimes the bike will not power on unless the charger is plugged in or if I shake the bike.
• Once unplugged, the system works until shutdown, but every time I try to turn on the bike the next day with the controller in won't work, only plugging the charger again or shaking the bike.
• This happens consistently, even after full cycles charges.

P.D.: FAZUA RIDE 60 SYSTEM REPORT show an error on: DISPLAY STATUS

Does anyone relate with this issue or can tell mw what to do?

I've owned 4 bikes with Fazua motor drives; one 50 (Trek E-Caliber) and three Ride 60 (Pivot Shuttle SL, Santa Cruz Heckler SL, Ari Nebo Peak). All developed some problem (no power when turned on despite the LED's showing full charge, turning off during a ride, random surges of power, intermittent decline in power, rattling/clunking noises). Three required replacement of the motor drive (and/or battery) under warranty; the fourth I sold when it developed trouble powering up. Unfortunately, all service required the shop performing diagnostics using computer connection/firmware unavailable to the owner, Fazua deciding to replace the drive, and then waiting for the replacement to be shipped and installed. For the Shuttle and Heckler, the removal and replacement were labor intensive, such that the shop said they would need to charge the next time it happened. I've sold, or am selling, all of them, and have put 860 miles on a new Pivot Shuttle SL/AM with the Bosch SX, which I'm very happy with. Other riders have posted that Fazua warranty coverage is reset to 2 years when they replace the drive, but you may want to start thinking of other options; I couldn't tolerate waiting weeks for an expensive bike to be rideable again.

I hate to tell you but the Fazua Ride 60 is one of the least reliable motor systems on the market. The fact that YT has gone out of business is going to make it even harder for you.

I don't have any help apart from visiting your local Fazua dealer and hopefully they can fix it at your own cost.

The battery goes into deep sleep, you have to lift and drop the bike to turn it on.
Maybe the latest fw update helps, maybe the battery has a not very sensitive movement dectection sensor.
I also noticed this when switching from the 430 to the 480 battery

do you have learning problems? or why does one buy THREE bikes with this cursed motor!?

YT with a Fazua, what could go wrong?

I'm certain that your dealer can get this worked out for you.

GL.

Learning curve on the shallow end. Actually, it was bad timing, in that I bought the first two within a few months of each other (one full 29", one mullet) and, before the first motor went out, I bought another 29" in anticipation of replacing the first 29'er (looking for longer travel). It was then that the troubles began.
