It seems others have been impacted also but it’s going back under warranty for them to throw parts at the bike until it’s fixed, is there a definitive answer as to what the noise is caused by?

It seems the part making the noise is the brake pad/calliper but I have seen that:
-Tyre resonance
-Axle tightness/torque
-calliper alignment

Can all be to blame….

Any tips appreciated.

Interestingly in the rain it was silent !

Hi, I have 2 E-ST900, one of mine and the other one of my wife. I had this problem on both and after tring various solutions, part of them found here, the only that worked was to change the brakes and rotors. After that the annoying sound disappeared and in addition I have much better brakes.
Me: rotors Shimano RT86 180mm rear + 203 front and brakes Deore XT (bought on sales in December)
My wife: rotors Shimano RT76 180mm + brakes Shimano 4100 series.

Thanks for the reply - It’s been back a couple of times now , has had the rear torqued higher, mine already had washers, next step is to try different brakes. He has ordered shimanos and a different size of the original brakes. Hopefully one of them fixes.
