Eeb fishing . Rod carrying ??

Going away camping for a few days . I like to fly fish . Have only fished and rode once . And I jammed the rod in my back pack . Am thinking spinning (lures) might be a more convenient solution . Anyways how do you guys carry your rod's??? Thanks

4 part fly rod in a rod tube tucked vertically into a backpack. Works very well.

in a tube like a map carrier slung around the shoulder or in the pack with the tackle

Four piece rod (UK 11' "waggler" float rod in my case), in a map tube, carried strapped or bungeed (depending on which bag) to the side of a rucksack, with the bottom of the tube in the mesh bottle pocket.
