Ebike Optimized Forks Or Not

Ye Im one of them, I have the old gen A1-A2 pikes but have done all the upgrades with new debon air spring and charger 2 damper. Im 80kg rider but they seem fine for me. Although its made me think if I need the extra stantion and crown stregth!
There seems to be a lot of e-bikes out there that have got forks that are not e-bike specific. They seem to manage ok dont they ?

The Fox service guy explained that yes, there are ebike-specific Fox forks but normal ones are fine for ebikes. He said "I bet your the Fox 36 Rhythms on your Canyon Spectral ON 6 are non-ebike." He was right.
My Spectral OnFly has the so-called E-Bike fox 38 and my analog Marin also has a Fox 38. I have serviced both of them with the same Fox service kits. Once I tore them down all the o-rings and seals were identical to the service kit. Internally, there was no difference, including the dampeners. I never got my micrometer and calipers out to see if there were other differences in structural thickness etc, but internally they were exactly the same. Not saying there are some that are different, but in my case I couldn’t find anything.

Nothing wrong with your analysis, but IMO they would have been better bringing out a larger diameter fork, say a 37, as for all intense and purposes the EBike fork is a burlier Fox 34. You are basically getting a 34 with thicker stanchions.
Which may be why many trail 150/160 brands spec 38s on their up-spec models, but have 36s below that.
Not sure if they are e-38s or not though🤷🏻‍♂️
