E carbon handlebars

Hi to all! Ok so im wanting to upgrade handlebars on my rail 9.7 I’m wanting a 30mm rise and thinking of going with deity, so my question is do the bars actually need to be specific ebars? Thank you guys.

The handlebars on many (if not all) ebikes have holes and creases under the grips to facilitate the electrical wiring that connect the display and the mode control. Your bike may be one of them. Follow the wiring from these to see where it goes. Remove the grips and look underneath the bar to confirm.

If you don't mind having the wiring running outside the bar and maybe a bit of re-routing then you can use any bar you like.

Hey Steve thank you for letting me know the difference between bars so the trek rail 9 doesn’t actually come with ebars as cable is on outside and to be honest that doesn’t bother me.
