Hi guys I have a DT Swiss 50 wheel on my bike with a star ratchet and I'm loving it but for whatever reason I've come across another set of springs that look a bit bigger and heavier. If I put them in that will that just mean it'll engage a bit harder and sharper and make a bit more noise? Is there a different spring rate between the different star ratchets sizes or are they all the same spring rate? TIA

I have several wheels with DT Swiss EXP hubs, 240, 350 and 370 with star ratchet. They all have had the same spring.
I don't know if there is a difference between EXP and DEG hubs.

thx, I couldnt find anything in google either

as @Mcharza I’ve only encountered one spring type with DT250 or DT350 and 18, 36, or 54 tooth ratchets. The AI search below is consistent with this but adds that the 54t ratchets may be more susceptible to spring fatigue so you might consider using new ones In that case. (I’ve never had an issue using older springs, but I do grease the ratchets regularly.)
