A friend of mine snapped the inner cable for his Merida eOne Sixty dropper remote. Does anyone know how to ‘free’ the outer cable housing so I can properly size and fit the new inner? I’ve tried firmly moving the housing from the head tube end and it feels locked like it’s cable tied somewhere. Have also removed the battery but can‘t see the cable. Does anyone have any tips please?

You will probably have to drop the motor down, leave the back to bolts in place. Easy to do.
Replacing the complete cable is easier.
Good luck.

In this case I replaced only the cable and lever, I also cleaned the dropper post completely. I greased the cable before putting it in the hose.
anyone else think the original Merida lever sucks ?
