Levo SL Gen 1 Does not charge

I have an sworks levo sl, best bike I have ever had. But it will no charge if I plug it in when turned off. It only starts charging if it is on when I plug it in. Afraid I one day ride it completely dead and then it will not charge. Any one else with this problem and any solution?

I would sugest the first step would be to try another charger.........borrow from a mate or ask a LBS to try their charger. That will at least tell you if the charger is faulty or whether the fault is elsewhere. You could also try inspecting the rosenburger connections both on the charger and the battery and clean with electrical contact cleaner.

Hi. Have tried to use an other charger. No difference.

I used to have to turn mine on, turn it off and then connect the charger. Charged fine then. If I didn't it would start charging then stop after a couple of minutes. Since I had the last firmware update it charges fine without being turned on and off first. We had three SL's in our house and they all did this.
