Did Pivot miss the boat with GX Transmission?

I love Pivot bikes and thoroughly enjoyed my Switchblade. I'm in the market for a new EMTB and have considered SL bikes like the ExE, Levo SL, Shuttle SL & now Heckler SL. One thing in common with all the bikes is they offer a GX Transmission spec. That is, Except for Pivot. They've excluded a GX Transmission on the Shuttle AM as well which I have considered for a bit. I've always been a Shimano guy, but ever since I discovered I could combine GX AXS and Shimano, I've been running it. I really want my next bike to be GX AXS Transmission. Anyone else consider these bikes and disappointed with the jump from SLX/XT to XO Transmission?

It's a nice to have but certainly not a deal breaker for me personally. Also as far as I'm aware you can no longer do the Shimano/axs combination (and you wouldn't want to) on the new Transmission. You can still run the old combo on any bike.
