toptube display, new improved handlebar remote and a bafang m510 3.0

should be able to configure all parameters thru the app instead of besst pro, lets see if it works this time🙃

i found that the cable routing of the rear brake and shifter cable is also a bit weird near the motor, like it is missing some guides, guess have to make it work..

this is the improved version of the handlebar remote that i just recieved
works with internal frame display

big improvement. i broke some over the years of the old dpc 245 handlebar controller

That looks much better! I have went through one of the old switches and currently both of my M510 bikes have the plastic buttons missing. You can still use it by pressing the metal button under but it looks terrible.

Do you have the part number for that remote? I wonder if it is backwards compatible to the DPC 245?

no i got it by surprise from chili
its not compitable with anything else than dpc030 because it has a different plug connecting to display

the dpc030 has a smaller plug for going thru guide holes in the frame and only fits 2 special remotes, the old one same as dpc245 but with special plug and this one

That makes sense with it having to go through a frame. I always liked that about Shimano's plugs, they were nice and small.

I saw that they list a similar remote for the DP C010.CN and the DP C400.CB. I wonder if they are compatible? That remote looks like it will hold up better in the long run. It looks like an updated version of the old one.

hi. can you chek your HMI hardware revision. DPC030 or DPC030-01 ?

Thanks. it's seem the same provided with the M510RS. I will test with the M510 rev2 later.

Does your M510 rev3 displaying the motor power and human power (unstable on M510RS) ?

have you tested heart rate displaying (bluetooth sensor necessary folowing my dealer, bafang doesn't provide informations for the moment) ?

If you maintain the 2 buttons (+ and -) togethere, you can enter in HMI parameters and see the HW (hardware) and SW (software) version of HMI and controller. You can also adjust some parameters

and i did a motor service, not much grease in there..
will clean and put Mobil SHC-100

some more parts
-Tannus tubeless mullet inserts

my kunlun with dpc030 did display human power perfectly

not sure what you ask about the heart sensor

i do have a bluetooth one but not sure if it can connect to bafang

The DPC030-1 of the M510RS have field to display the motor power, the human power and the hearth rate. I suppose that your can displaying the same fields ?

How do you find the Madrone derailer? How robust does the mech feel? How strong is the cage spring? Does the clutch system feel like it has good resistence?

I have the CYC 5spd on both my bikes, and the Microshift derailer doesnt feel robust enough for the heavy chain. Shifting is fine. But when you get into chunky terrain, it feels like it really struggles to control the heavy chain. I would love a more robust mech as the microshift stuff just feels a bit too flimsy for my liking.

im waiting for it to be delivered
reviews says its awesome, so lets wait and see, only downside is price atm

reason i got it was that i like the shimanio linkglide 10 speed stuff for ebike. it is cheap and hard wearing, only derailleurs have so much play from new it sucks, they also wear out quickly leading to more play and less shifting performance...

officially the madrone does not work with linkglide 10Speed but i think it can, it is a guess 😬

i tried the microshift before and it was even worse... performance was not there for me, at all

Ok. Im intersted. Especially since they have the new gold colorway. Last time i looked it was only grey and purple i think.

Yes, the Microshift stuff feels a bit flimsy to me, especially when paired to the CYC cassette which is a beast. Having said that, I havent had any failures yet, and it shifts beautifully with the CYC 5spd. My only gripe is the heavier Ebike chains tend to feel like they are overpowering the main tension spring and clutch on bumpy chatter.

The 9spd cog spcing is easy to index. Ive had 12spd stuff like SX/NX before that was so sloppy it was literally impossible to get all 12 gears to index simultaneosly.

The Madrone certainly looks promising. And the best part it isnt Sram or shitmano.

i ordered this for the bare pcb's in the engine...

previous older bafang motors always had potted controllers and never had problems with moisture

i never tried it before but it does not hurt the pcbs, instead i will try to protect them from moisture.
Future me will thank me later (i hope)

i also put foam on all internal cabling to reduce noise while riding, i always do this on the dengfu frames and it makes them dead silent
IMG_5818.webp

also put foam rubber (5mm) on the inside of the battery cover to further reduce noise as the cover is always a bit loose on these

These Tannus inserts are the most easy insert i have ever installed..

if you do it step by step they just slip in

Taping tubeless rim

IMG_5825.webp

new valve

IMG_5829.webp

install and inflate like normal tubeless tire

IMG_5830.webp

deflate and push 1 side back

IMG_5831.webp

take 1 side off the rim to insert tannus insert

IMG_5832.webp

put the insert inside the rim

IMG_5833.webp

tuck the insert in all the way

IMG_5834.webp

tuck the tire inside the rim with your
hands, if the technique is right the last piece slips in easy with a tire lever

IMG_5835.webp

reinflate and add sealant.

i always hated cushcore but these are much more easy and still give great sidewall support

wheelset finished

these were the same rims as i used in the Markhor kunlun build but i managed to save 595gram per wheel which is massive!

i used Nobby Nic supertrail 2.6" and a Linglide 10s casette , TRP 203 rotor and Tannus tubeless inserts.

still up to the job for my local trails, but a little less extreme compared
to the eddy currents, 220 rotors and cushcore from the markhor build.

Have you tested your bike ? i have the same display (DPC030-1) on my M510RS (M510 rev4) and yesterday i have seen something abnormal. i have stopped assist to return home (D- and flat road). when i have stoped assist, the batery level was 32%. With mode 0, i have seen the batery level still decreasing to 28% has i arrive at home ?
Contexte;
I have validated all motor sensors (power, battery level, RPM, mode, et..) on my GPS (garmin edge2) and i displayed all informations on my GPS
I displayed my heart rate on the HMI (with bluetooth sensor)

I don't find this consumtion normal, i will tested with desactivating sensors on GPS and heart rate on HMI

sweet build kaaskopf it's like if bat man built a mtb  why the change from the markhor if you dont mind me asking ? as it's pretty much a similar build...
