So, one of the most accessible trail areas in the Greater Vancouver area is under threat of shutdown because the CIty of Burnaby refuses to work with the local trail association (story here).
We have some great trail associations that have developed good relationships with land owners and municipalities for riding areas (the North Shore obviously, but also the Tri-Cities, Delta, and Squamish or Whistler if you want to drive farther).
But not Burnaby. If this happens, there's no decent riding anywher from the North Shore to the Tri Cities significantly impacting accessibility not to mention increasing traffic and user congestion in other riding area.
