Damaged motor case

I took the bash guard off my 2 month old bike and notices some damage to the motor. The casing looks like it's disintegrating and turning to powder.

Only a small amount of mud behind the guard. Motor is Bosch performance line cx.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

doesnt look good, it almost looks like galvanic corrosion of the magnesium motor casing.

I'd take it back to bosch and see what they say.

what bike is it on?

I guess theres no way those chips could be caused by rockstrikes because the motor protector would be stopping the rocks?
